Now, how to cook these fat burning foods this summer…. Here are a few recipes that you can try:
1 red onion, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
2 tablespoons olive oil, plus more for serving
kosher salt and black pepper
8 large eggs, beaten
3 ounces Cheddar, grated (about 3/4 cup)
1 cup halved cherry tomatoes
1/3 cup finely chopped flat-leaf parsley leaves crusty bread, for serving
How to Make
Heat the olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
Add the onion, bell pepper, 1 teaspoon salt, and ½ teaspoon pepper.
Cook, stirring occasionally, until very tender, 12 to 14 minutes.
Add the eggs and cook, stirring frequently, until the eggs are just set, 1 to 2 minutes.
Add the Cheddar and cook, stirring, until just melted, 1 to 2 minutes more.
Remove from heat and stir in the tomatoes and parsley.
Drizzle the bread with oil and serve alongside the eggs.

Berry Medley with Limoncello and Mint
1 cup fresh raspberries
2 cups fresh blackberries
2 cups hulled fresh strawberries, quartered
2 cups fresh blueberries
1/4 cup sugar 1 tablespoon grated lemon rind
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice 2 tablespoons limoncello (lemon-flavored liqueur)
1/2 cup torn mint leaves
How to Make It
Combine first 8 ingredients in a bowl; let stand 20 minutes. Gently stir in mint using a rubber spatula.
Handmade Mexican-Style Burgers
10 ounces pork
10 ounces beef
1 jalapeno, diced
1 serrano, diced
1 teaspoon each of salt, pepper, onion, coriander, paprika
1 tablespoon each garlic, red pepper flakes
½ teaspoon cumin Toasted buns for serving Tomato slices for topping
Sliced avocado for topping
Your favorite hot sauce
How to Make
Heat a grill to medium heat.
In a mixing bowl, add pork, beef, jalapeno and serrano peppers, and all of the seasonings.
Hand form into 4 5-ounce patties.
Grill each burger 5-6 minutes per side, until they are cooked through.
Serve onto toasted buns with tomato, avocado, and with your favorite hot sauce.
Creamy Avocado Bean Wrap
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 tablespoon canola oil 2 teaspoons finely chopped canned chipotle chile in adobo sauce
¼ teaspoon salt
2 cups shredded red cabbage
1 medium carrot, shredded
¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 15-ounce can white beans, rinsed
1 ripe avocado
½ cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons minced red onion
4 8- to 10-inch whole-wheat wraps, or tortillas
How to Make
Whisk vinegar, oil, chipotle chile and salt in a medium bowl. Add cabbage, carrot and cilantro; toss to combine.
Mash beans and avocado in another medium bowl with a potato masher or fork. Stir in cheese and onion.
To assemble the wraps, spread about ½ cup of the bean-avocado mixture onto a wrap (or tortilla) and top with about ⅔ cup of the cabbage-carrot slaw. Roll up. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Cut the wraps in half to serve, if desired.
