Have you ever just felt fat? Maybe you feel your neck fold when you look down. Maybe you look at your legs with disgust? Maybe you look in the mirror and think to yourself “I am so unattractive?”


These are all common things that women that are overweight (and sometimes not overweight) feel and think. On the weekends you throw on your old sweat pants and baggy sweat shirt and think Ah to hell with it! I’m not beautiful so why try?


But I have a little secret for you… You are beautiful and the more that you feel beautiful the easier it is for you to lose weight!


After losing 100 pounds myself and then becoming a weight loss coach, I learned that it is our subconscious beliefs that holds us back from achieving what we want in life. We subconsciously believe we are not beautiful and we are fat and unattractive.


Here is how you change your subconscious belief...

  • Do something that makes you feel beautiful this creates a new feeling. 
  • ​Then say new words that reflect your new thought about how you look and feel.
  • ​Then be willing to continually choose new thoughts about yourself and your beauty (create a habit)

A few examples of how you can start feeling beautiful and lose the weight:

​get your hair done....

​Schedule an appointment to get your hair cut, colored or even just styled (maybe a Brazilian blowout). Getting your hair done makes you feel fresh and radiant! Change it up a bit and embrace the beauty.

​get dressed up...

Just because you don’t have anywhere to go doesn’t mean that you can’t get dressed up! Make it fun, have a formal date at home with your partner or a dance party with your kids or girlfriends. Do your hair, makeup and get out a dress or nice outfit that makes you feel great!

​get your nails .

Looking at your broken, chewed down nails is the least sexy feeling! However, seeing nice shaped (maybe acrylic or gel) nails with a lush color of your choice gives you an entire different feeling! Schedule an appointment for you and or your girlfriends to get a manicure and relax.


​walk around in high heels...

High heels are sexy! Grab out a pair and just walk around the house in them. You will be amazed at how this simple little mindset trick transforms your thoughts about your beauty.

​take a long hot bath...

Candles, bubbles, jets maybe. Put on some relaxing music and relax. The warm water will open your pores and allow them to breathe, releasing toxins and stress.

​wear lingerie...

Don’t worry, no one needs to see it. You can wear it under your clothes. The feeling of your body in a garter belt or sexy pair of undies instantly sends signals to your brain that releases the feeling of beauty and sexiness.

When you feel beautiful in your own skin you tend to make healthier choices. I know this is a reference to a man, but did you know that Arnold Schwarzenegger (while training) wore half shirts (or belly shirts) around his house?


This was because he wanted to see his muscles and abs, this reprogrammed his brain and kept him focused on what he really wanted (muscle) and focus off what he may have been tempted with (food).


It works! Think about it, when you are feeling beautiful (whatever that maybe for you) do you find yourself pigging out on ice cream, potato chips, candy or pizza? My guess is no… The more you feel beautiful the healthier choices you will make which = Weight Loss!
