After losing 100 pounds (really!), I knew I had a system that could help so many others like me. I help women get visible results by using my Diamond Body Image Process™.
Some of them are moms. Others are not. But, all have used my system that took me years to create and test. I’ve seen it work for many body types, not just my own.
Want to know one of my best-kept secrets?
Is it cutting carbs?
No. It’s a lot deeper than all those. I had to learn how to fight the REAL villain: Stress.
Stress is the real enemy because it’s become the boss of you. It’s taken over your time, your confidence, your day-to-day mentality and that lets it take over your health.
Stress tells you to crash diet, and then blames you for “breaking down” and yo-yoing all the weight back.
It tells you to ignore how sluggish you feel, and then berates you for not having enough energy to “give life your all”.
It tells you to put everything first, except yourself, and then shakes its head when you burnout because you’re serving from an empty tank.
You know, if Stress were an actual person, we would do everything we could to get her out of our lives!
But how do I start eliminating stress? Your answer awaits you below!
Eliminate the junk food...
The combination of junk food and stress is particularly harmful.
Fat cells grow faster in response to junk food when the body is stressed.
Here are some better choices to try:
Dark leafy greens are rich in folate. Fermented foods and beverages such as kefir, kombucha, and sauerkraut improve gut health and naturally improve mood and reduce stress.
Omega-3 fats, EPA, and DHA play a role in your emotional well-being reducing anxiety and depression. These healthy fats are found in salmon, sardines, and
anchovies. Avocados also provide healthy fats as well as essential health-boosting nutrients, including potassium, vitamin E, B vitamins, and folate.
Blueberries are another superfood due to the pigments that give berries their deep color called anthocyanins. These powerful antioxidants aid dopamine production in the brain. Dopamine is crucial in mood boosting stress relief.
Many people manage to get out of bed early, but an hour later they still feel groggy and go back to sleep.
Changing your wake-up time to a few hours earlier is hard. While your body gets used to the new timing, you will feel sleepy in the first few hours and going back to sleep will be tempting.
Even coffee doesn’t help in that case. So what’s the solution?
Go busy as soon as possible. It’s a great opportunity to do some exercise, clean your house or just get to work!

Honestly, is there anything better than being outside on a beautiful day? Sunlight isn’t just important for vitamin D (the feel good vitamin) it is also essential for lowering blood pressure, improves your muscles and reduces inflammation.
When you have more time try to get to a park, lake, beach, etc. (Actually anywhere that nature is in abundant!) You will just feel the fresh air and motivation flow through your body.
Just be in natureYou can go for a walk, sit quietly and take in the sights and sounds around you, or bring your favorite book and read!
Either way, try turning up your favorite music and just move. (I love to get out my old iPod and jam out to some throwback 90’s like Vanilla Ice and yes, even the Back Street Boys). You can even just blast music while doing chores around the house and see how it makes you feel.
What about a dancing class? There are a ton of options out there, plus you will have the confidence to get out on the dance floor and show off your new moves at that next event!
When the body feels good, so does the mind. Dance has been shown to offer a creative outlet for people to express their personalities in a safe environment. Finally, dancing boosts your physical health as well!
even as little as 10 minutes a day. And by the way working out doesn’t have to be something you dread. Try something fun that you can do today.
Not only will exercise help stop your stress in its tracks, it can help keep stress levels low the next time you encounter a stressful situation.
Exercise and other physical activity boost chemicals in the brain that act as natural painkillers called endorphins which improve the ability to sleep and reduces stress.
START YOUR DAY OFF RIGHT

Any activity that you perform where you stay fully present, completely and non- judgmentally rooted ‘in the now’ can count as a mindfulness meditation technique. To get some practice here are a few techniques:
You can use sound as a meditation technique. Try sitting outside and focusing on all the different sounds. As thoughts drift in, simply acknowledge them and return to the sounds of nature.
When I first started meditating it felt weird. I thought I had to sit on the floor on the floor with my legs crossed, arms extended and my middle finger and thumbs touching, all while saying HMMMM… This is not the case at all and now that I understand this I incorporate it with my breathing and it is quite relaxing!
Breathing is an automatic process, however, we rarely use our full lung capacity.
When is the last time you took a purposeful breath? Breathing is just one of those things we don’t think about. But our automatic breathing setting is shallow. Taking long deep controlled breaths resets the brain and triggers the relaxation response.
There are many different breathing techniques. The beauty of controlled breathing is it can be practiced from anywhere! Try a few and see which one works best for you.
This controlled technique involves equal lengths for both inhales and exhales. To start, try counting to 4 on each inhalation and exhalation. As you breathe deeper you may be able to work your way to a count of 6 or even 8. Take several equal breaths and feel the relaxation throughout your entire body.
Sometimes the best remedy for stress is to remove the stress! This may mean physically removing the cause of stress from your life or resolving the issue. If your stress gets worse when you can’t find things, get organized! Eliminate things that are on your mind and stressing you out.
When removing the stress itself isn’t an option, simply get it out of your head. This can be done by talking to a friend or loved one, or a professional, or journaling. Getting things off your chest itself can be a huge help! Just letting it out releases the stress because it is then transparent.
Write it out....
Journaling is a best practice to do every day. It is a way to not only let out the stress, but also to give thanks, write your thoughts, ponder on questions and explore burning questions and desires.
Talk therapy is a great way to relieve stress. Simply sharing your stress with someone else can help you gain a different perspective on what is stressing you out. Sometimes talking to a friend can help because they can relate or may have helpful suggestions.

My name is Danielle. I am a mom, author, weight loss coach and creator of the “Diamond Body Image Process™.
I work with strong and determined women with busy lives, who’ve let themselves go for years due to work or taking care of their family. And because of this they are struggling with…
– Standing on your bathroom scale and seeing you are at your highest weight ever so you’ve decided to lose the weight but you don’t know HOW.
– The shame of being overweight is holding you back from being in family photos or videos
– Feel frustrated, fat and uncomfortable because your pants are too tight.
– Feeling embarrassed to be naked in front of your husband and causing you to not be intimate with him yet you want to build a strong bond for a lasting relationship.
And secretly they feel ashamed and embarrassed about their weight. And if they were really honest they would say even though they look happy on the outside, on the inside they feel like a big fat failure and lack the confidence they once had.
For these women, I provide a safe, caring environment for them to be completely honest and open their feelings and fears. I empower them to stop making excuses and blaming their circumstances for being overweight, and instead take personal responsibility for their weight loss, so they can achieve their ideal weight, feel more confident and energized and be their best version of themselves.
I teach my clients simple ways to change their eating habits, exercise habits and transform their mindset through my Diamond Body Image Process™ for long lasting weight loss.
My caring, direct and motivational coaching style inspires women to take action and become the best version of themselves. I teach weight loss from my personal experience. I’ve lost 100 lbs and I’ve kept it off for 7 years. My clients say they feel understood, heard, motivated and they see real results. The profound confidence in each client through weight loss is life changing.
